[2:52PM] 30+ MPH wind gusts are likely across Central Kentucky early this evening through sunset as the remnants of #Isaias approach. Rain will be spotty but briefly heavy when it does hit. A few claps of thunder are certainly possible!
Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin, Florida around 9:30 ET as a Category 2 storm with 105-mph winds. Expect periods of rain and 25-35-mph winds here in Louisville Saturday PM - Sunday AM.
5PM UPDATE: Hurricane Isaias has strengthened to a category 2 storm. Positioned to make impact late Friday night along the Gulf Coast near Pensacola - Navarre Beach and others along Santa Rosa Island could take the brunt of it.

Isaias is now a hurricane... reaching Category 1 status with 75 MPH sustained winds just after 11P Wednesday. All eyes on the Gulf Coast near Gulf Shores for the greatest impact... and here at home for weekend rain chances.
Don’t think I said that… I recall commenting on the story about getting vaccinated… where doctors from the Cleveland Clinic advised others in the household to also wash their hands and cover their coughs during the cold season to prevent illness from spreading.
Replying to @KevinHarned
@KevinHarned "Wash your hands" for flu prevention? 🤦
Handwashing has ZERO impact on the easiest & likeliest way you'll get infected with flu - which is when you breathe it in
Clean air > clean hands
Clean air by:
-📈ventilation (open window)
-📈filtration (N95 masking, HEPA)

Tropical Depression Nine has formed, likely becoming #Isaias overnight. It's forecast to become a Category 1 hurricane late Thursday night before making landfall early in the weekend. We'll deal with rain from it in Kentucky & Indiana on Sunday.
BOLO - call @kystatepolice or 911 if seen - do not approach.
