Tbh I can’t imagine using Xometry. We sub some CNC work and I gotta know my vendor. Reputation and reliability matter more than a score.
saw a shop owner on linkedin who lives on xometry payouts.
low payouts didn't make him buy robots. they made him automate the paperwork first. model vs drawing checks, DFM, workholding, programming.
a good reminder: while many pictures automation as a robot arm, in reality the money is in the work before the first cut.

I have a hunch the Chinese AI models are better at CNC machining cause there’s more of it in their country. Anyone test this?
