Eight years ago today, on September 2nd, 2016, I married the most incredible woman. Every day, I realize more just how lucky I am to walk this path with her. Nicole’s strength, intelligence, beauty, wisdom, and empathy continually amaze me. We may have different interests, but at our core, we are so alike. I’m beyond fortunate to have found a partner who shares my values and pushes me to grow. Nicole is an unstoppable force—courageous, steadfast, and always my greatest supporter. She doesn’t take no for an answer and never wilts under pressure. She’s my best friend, and I couldn’t love her more.

A thoughtfully designed and competitively priced residence in the heart of Washington, D.C. Enjoy a wonderful neighborhood—I would know, I live on the same block! The main living room overlooks a brand-new 6-acre park and receives abundant natural light. Modern, high-end touches are found throughout. A striking 40ft+ hallway separates the kitchen and primary living space from the bedrooms, offering ultimate privacy and quiet—rarely found in condo living. You have to experience this space in person to truly understand how special it is. Every time I visit, I’m struck by just how quiet it is. Let me know if you’d like a private tour. 46 Channing St NW #2 – $695,000 Brand new on the market.

Seventeen years ago, we embarked on our first 100-mile bicycle ride as a non-profit, and we’re still going strong today. Next Friday, we’ll once again, cycle 100 miles from DC to Delaware. Looking forward to crossing the finish line! … not so much traversing the 95 degree weather ;) – at Washington, DC

Although it's not her full-time or even part-time job, animal welfare is a passion for Nicole. Often, she is out before work or after the kids are in bed, assisting with various emergencies like this. I don’t know the full story on these kittens, but they were less than 24 hours old and would most certainly have died without Nicole’s help. Nicole has a unique ability to serve as a unifier in this space. She continues to build and connect a vast network, bringing together individual operators to create a much larger impact.

The strides Nicole has made in a short time for animal welfare in our city are incredible. She’s relentless, having assembled and unified a network of passionate advocates making a real impact. DC deserves to be world-class in every aspect. Thanks to Nicole, we’re on our way to achieving that in animal welfare, sooner rather than later.

7 years ago. Before kids and the pandemic. Celebrating with our own imported product at one of our favorite restaurants. The pandemic shut down both our company and the restaurant! Our lives have changed so much, and despite bumps along the way, I’m so very grateful for where we are and where we’re headed!

Our community has wrestled with the Reservoir Park and Recreation Center Project, known to most as McMillan, for decades. Yet, instead of dividing us, it brought us closer together. We learned to disagree respectfully and remain friends. It’s a simple concept, but rare to find. To Bloomingdale, Stronghold, LeDroit Park, Park View, Mayor Bowser, the DC Council, and everyone who has pushed this project forward over the years, thank you! Believe in yourself. Don’t take no for an answer. The hardest obstacles often lead to the greatest rewards. We face challenges every single day. No matter who you are, life is complex and can be tough. Our success is not only determined by the outcomes but also by the effort and attitude we bring to our work. Our lives are instantly and exponentially improved. #reservoirpark #reservoir #mcmillan #mcmillanpark #onecity #oneward Safer, Stronger, Smarter

It’s mulberry season! Free, everywhere, and healthy!!! Yes, mulberries are nutritious and offer several health benefits. They are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, vitamin K, iron, and potassium. Mulberries are also a good source of dietary fiber, which aids in digestion. Additionally, they contain antioxidants like resveratrol, which can help protect against oxidative stress and inflammation. Eating mulberries can support immune health, improve blood circulation, and contribute to overall well-being. Mulberry season in Washington, DC, typically falls in late May through June. During this time, mulberry trees produce ripe berries that can be harvested and enjoyed. These berries can be found in various parts of the city, including parks and residential areas. Mulberries are known for their sweet and slightly tart flavor and are often enjoyed fresh or used in recipes for jams, pies, and other treats.

🌷 Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful wife! How incredibly lucky Merrick, Serafina, and I are to have you in our lives. You never stop! Even on Mother’s Day you’re prepping for your house full of Gemini’s upcoming bdays! The endless love and hard work you put in every single day does not go unnoticed. Sometimes I just pause and scratch my head, wondering how I even got to be a dad. A huge part of that is because of the amazing partner and mom you are. Your strength and dedication make our family what it is, and for that, we are eternally grateful. You have an innate ability to see past the present and almost magically know what today’s actions will lead to months and even years ahead. Your foresight and wisdom guide us, making our future brighter with every thoughtful step you take. I often relate how special and rare you are—as clear as day to me, you are not just a mom. You are a rare matriarch, the type of woman that a family is seldom blessed with, and when present, creates a legacy and foundation that will last well beyond your years. Here’s to you, the heart of our home! ❤️ #MothersDay #FamilyLegacy #GratefulHeart *PS - it’s a dad’s job to take terrible photos, ;)
