That's what I like about codex - it will do it. Claude will fizz out with "oh can't do security things, it's dangerous, sir.."

I reviewed games back then.. a lot of people thought Eidos was a mistake. Turns out it mostly was. I always wondered how people inside felt about the consolidation to it.

I think he meant khakis and sandals combo. Shirt is alright.

Oh this looks great. How I imagined Gangster Town for Master System would look like and play. I got _a tad_ disappointed when I got home with it.

Sid Meier quoted Nintendo's Seal of Quality as one of key innovations that turned the industry around after Atari slopped the market. What are your thoughts on that either as flagging games (content) made with AI (to flags with various degrees) or curation?
I also used discreet instead of discrete.. It's morning for me. I'll let it stand as a testament that I didn't use AI hah

lots of things to unpack there and I'm an optics major, not particle which this branches into as well as metaphysics and ultimately as all sciences to philosophy, BUT.. and this is somewhat my take on it. It closely aligns with my mental model as well. As much as I can through an X post - in notes:
- as said before we went from Bohr model of particles as balls then to Schrodinger as clouds of probabilities and then to quantum foam
- you call it possibilities, I'd call it probability and that's a term you'll find often in physics. Even in this context. Difference being everything's possible (this comes as important later), but how probable it is? - in QM this also led to wave function collapse, a relatively well modeled mechanism
- 'below everything' in the engine room of our reality there are 'fields' and probabilities tell us when a particle spawns and somewhat where in it based on the energy interplay. Fields of different energy levels and thus particles - IMO this is probably where unified theory will have to unify micro and macro physics into a single model
- no one knows shit about fuck about time. We know it's asymmetric but we don't know why. We don't even know how to explain it except that we can measure it. And to add to the insult the cornerstone of modern physics is the relationship between time and energy (conservation laws, relativity, qm even)
- dimensionality of reality plays into possibilities as you called it. If you think classically in Cartesian then you have three discreet dimensions with discreet coordinates (points) in space. If you add one more dimension, time, then you can project all possible(!) combinations of points / space thus covering all possibilities of 3 dimensions within fourth. Adding each new dimension acts as a "container" that maps out all possible configurations of the dimensions below it. You can actually do that until it eventually leads you to 11-dimensional framework also known as M-theory AKA string theory
Overall, the notes I wrote as they came when I read your post/link do not dismantle the ontology (framework).. I'm more trying to anchor it to what I "know" / understand with a strong note that there's a gap between that and the possibility (as you described it) that exists without framework of reality. A bit of a catch 22 there where possibility would derive the framework for probabilities and I flipped it around a bit.
Having said that, on the latter topic it's next to impossible(hah!) to wrap mind around concept of 'before time' since we naturally still think of it as a discrete point in a timeline where there ain't one and framework without time can only somewhat be understood mathematically. There's also then a multiverse thing where just like M-theory states.. everything is possible and everything possible is and always is.
Keep also in mind always that everything we postulate about nature and reality is a model, that through experiments is proven that it works.. but it's still a model and not necessary a reflection of the true nature of reality.
That final bridge between philosophy and physics is sometimes just damn easier to answer through religion lol

right, but the problem crops up if the model lies to you.

akshually! (as a physics major) that's why wave functions are there. classical model of spheres and discrete locations kind of break down on those, even including natural follow-up "where my wave at _exactly_?" Are you familiar with one-electron universe hypothesis? :D

Not sure how did Shadow Force slip past my memory for like 30 years? Technos made Double Dragon, so I’ve got no excuse. Pfft.. Adding it to my arcade list tonight. Thanks for bringing it up!
