While many people, including Ontario's Premier Doug Ford, say that bike lanes increase traffic congestion, research from around the world shows that's not the case.

My focus is on reducing the barriers women who bike or want to bike face. Too often I hear “Bike lanes are for women, children & people who can’t bike.” YES. Infrastructure should be designed for women and people of all ages & abilities. @BYCS_org @WomenUrbanismCA @TO_Cycling_Ped

👇🏼I wish this were the case. As a woman who bikes and wear a range of clothing styles (heels, rabbit fur, costumes…), the unsolicited “feedback” I am subjected to by men riding bikes is a reason why there is a persistent gender gap in the cycling community @BicycleMayorTO
