I see that Snyder has gone "full Christian" finally with Last Photograph. He's comitted at the expense of rep and money. Hence hatred - inevitable. But just wait and enjoy.

If anybody's wondering why I've been silent for a while, it's because some extremely bad shit happened to me last year in 2025. And I'm only starting to come out of that trauma. ❤️

The image there *IS* Carrie. Forget the novel, which even Stephen King himself threw in the bin according to his autobiography. DePalma's Carrie is THE no. 1 horror movie of the 70s (even the amazing Chainsaw Massacre can't compete).
De Palma created what Carrie is about. The king novel is barely readable. Barely a novel.

Physical 100: Italy (Netflix reality fitness show) is the best Zack Snyder style show I've seen. It's clearly from the country that made Michangelo's David.

This Man of Steel scene became a gut punch for me after I lost a parent. Literally here today, gone tomorrow. Especially when your last conversation was an argument. (And that's before we get to the mythological Elijah disappearing in a whirlwind references etc).

I think Interview With a Vampire is his most interesting role.
Tom Cruise's most interesting role by far, if Hollywood were worth a damn we'd see him play the villain more often.

This painting now makes me think of Rebel Moon (2017 painting by Bill Mayer).

The Bond franchise died because there's nothing worth using as product placement anymore.

Movies used to tell us what orchestra they'd used in the opening credits as if we'd care. "Yess, London Symphony!"

"But my lips hurt real bad" - what a plaintive cry for a loving kiss! Not just a chapstick joke. Napoleon Dynamite is pure Country and Western.
