Dusty Nabor Wines is a project born out of passion, perhaps more aptly, the drive of Dusty himself for producing site specific, terroir driven California wines. Their singular focus is crafting wines of distinction from premier vineyards in Paso Robles, Santa Ynez and the Santa Rita Hills. There is a nose of citrus peel, grapefruit and wet gravel with tastes of white peach, apricot and toasted almonds. Found this gem at @klwines in Redwood City. Wine Wednesday and going batty for this 2015 Pech Merle zinfandel from the Alioto Vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County. Pech Merle Winery is a small, family-run winery with a tasting room in Geyserville with John Pepe as their winemaker. This one shows a nose of blackberry, cardamom and truffles with a rich palette of black plum, leather and black pepper. Peche Merle is a fun stop in Geyserville so check them out. Cheers.

Thirsty Thursday with a nod to the upcoming movie release of “Spider-Man, Brand New Day” with this 2023 @cruxwinery grenache from their estate and Force Five Vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Windsor neighbors Steve Gower and Brian Callahan are the guys behind this label. There’s a nose of red plum, light pepper and rose petals with a palette of spicy red cherry, anise and thyme.
