This ‘standuptocancer’ show is actually ticking me off. Pancreatic cancer is way too ignored for its prevalence. And no, we are not much closer to a cure. And yes, my heart is broken. #sorry not sorry #StandUpToCancer

YOU CAN HELP If you ever see something #pancreaticcancer related, please consider sharing it – you don’t know who you might help - it takes no effort to retweet & you could save a life @spiderwalshy had 2 people tell him his awareness made them go to the GP early! @maggiewatts
Excited to see the 5-year survival of PDAC ticked up to 12% this year. It's not enough, but every % is hundreds of life-years saved. Thank you @PanCAN @lustgartenfdn @theNCI @ACS_Research & the 1000s of physicians & scientists working to make this happen! cancer.org/content/dam/cance…

I’d like to cancel my subscription to 2023. I’ve experienced the free ‘7 day trial’ and I’m not interested. Thanks.

Methotrexate is a scary drug:lung toxicity. Beware because sometimes you can be one of ‘the few’ impacted. Arthritis patients steer clear.
A new law might make you think twice before firing off that late-night email.💻 Starting today, Ontario employers are obligated to have a right-to-disconnect policy on how they’ll ensure employees don’t engage in “work-related communications” after hours. tgam.ca/3GGlCvp

Retweet if you support Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board's decision to continue masking and if you'd like to see other school boards show this type of leadership.

Replying to @HWDSB
You should've responded that the board will drop masks when his Alma mater does.

Hybrid teaching: 5 kids of normally 16 in-person were there. The other 8 online made up of some previously in-person kids, mixed with online kids. Total of 11/24 absent completely. Chromebooks would not allow for internet use sooo… #fail #sos #whatsummative

I saw a squirrel in the middle of a busy road today demonstrate better decision-making skills than Doug Ford.

Did you see today’s @osstf full-page ad in the @TorontoStar calling on Directors of Education and School Board Trustees to end hybrid classes now? Check it out, and spread the word that it’s past time for #NoHybridNo150.

We keep hearing from teachers in Peel about the hygiene theatre in our schools. Most students eat lunch on the floor in the hallways, but we are running "modified semesters" with only two classes per day to limit exposures. Can PPH start visiting schools at lunch? #NoHybridNo150

Students in Waterdown held a walkout Friday afternoon after a dress code announcement was made just days after police launched a sexual assault allegation at the local high school. @botelhok has the story. #protest #sexualassualt #StCatharines chch.com/waterdown-students-…

BATHROOMS. RESTAURANTS. SCHOOL CLASSROOMS. OFFICES. Not just hospitals and clinics. The virus can linger in the air for hours. Forget outdated 6-feet droplet 💧rule. Huge superspreading outbreaks from aerosols have been documented. REPEAT: #COVIDisAirborne - pass it on! #COVID19

This resonates with so many @PeelSchools teachers. More training every week accompanied by links to mental health resources, with no apparent awareness of the correlation between employer actions and employee wellness.
So much this. Every time system leaders say that our current struggles come down to training it just makes educators feel worse. It’s casting a judgement on our professionalism when in reality we’re just coping with horrendous leadership decisions. #onted

I was nervous sharing my story because I worried it makes me sound like I’m bad at my job, but hearing from other teachers shows that even the best of us are struggling because this system was not made for or by people that care about student learning. #HybridHurtsKids #OntEd

Here’s the second in our series of first-hand accounts from Peel teachers. The hybrid model requires every teacher to teach two classes simultaneously - those in the room, and whichever students are tuning in online that day. #NoHybridNo150
