If you love something you become deeply curious about it. You have to know how it works, what it means. Nothing defines that idea for me quite like music. I always had to understand all the little details: the sharpness of the perfect snare, the texture of a reversed sample, the syllabic rhyming of an elite verse. This curiosity consumed me as a fan of Hip-Hop. I would listen to all of my favorite rappers and go to shows if I had the chance. I got to be the first in line to meet Logic on his first official tour on May 14, 2013. On that same day, I met the man making the beats behind all of his songs: 6ix. These moments fueled my curiosity, but I had no idea I wanted to do the same things: make raps, cook up beats, and sell out shows. Nevertheless, the curiosity was stewing in my subconscious. A decade later, my curiosity is even more intense, but a lot has changed. Over the years, I evolved from someone who listened to music into someone who creates his own. I gave myself the freedom to chase the dream relentlessly, and I’m now a full blown artist with my own social media following and a substantial catalogue. This past December, 6ix and I met for the first time and started building the foundation of what would be a future project. In July, we locked in for three days and made our new album: SONATA. This album is the culmination of my curiosity. It is also confirmation that the thing you love can become the life you live. SONATA. OUT EVERYWHERE NOW.
