If you use Trello, turns out each card has an email address visible by clicking its “Share” button. Emailing this address adds the email as a comment. Neat!

Reverting checkins on a branch that's been merged. Making more changes followed by rebasing everything into a single commit before merging from the branch you'd already merged with seems to have been a seriously bad idea. Consider foot well and truly shot. Thanks Git! 🤬
