#DYK Dry lumber is roughly 50% carbon by weight? Throughout a tree's lifecycle, it absorbs carbon dioxide, capturing and locking carbon inside the wood! 🪵♻️
That means once you’ve built with lumber and other wood-based products, you’ve created a long-lasting carbon bank. 🏦

Option 1 is a vote to remain in Canada. Option 2 is a vote for separation. Those telling you that is not what option 2 is about are also those who are publishing plans for separation. Don't believe that a vote for option 2 is anything other than a vote for their separation plans.

We capped off our conference with a special guest as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Corey Hogan, sat down for a fireside chat with President and CEO, Jason Krips.
Corey and Jason discussed how the Federal government sees the forestry sector as foundational to Canada's economy.
Parliamentary Secretary Hogan covered many topics including: the importance of forest management for multiple values, including wildfire mitigation, the federal government's support for building new trade markets, and making the Canadian Forest Sector Transformation Task Force Report operational through a national forestry strategy.

Nowhere on this ballot does it say "send Ottawa a message."
Nowhere does it say "give Alberta more leverage."
Option 2 asks if the government should begin the legal process toward a binding referendum on separation?
How is that a negotiating tactic.
So to those promoting Option 2, I ask respectfully: which is it?
You are telling everyone that separation is a bluff. Why would Ottawa take it seriously?
Albertans deserve better.
I love this province. I love this country. I will keep fighting for both, and I'll do it with the truth.
You don’t have to want independence to vote Option 2.
You only have to want Danielle Smith to have leverage.
Option 1 sends her in empty-handed. That’s why I asked remain voters to look at this differently.

Alberta’s forest sector has reconnected for another engaging week in stunning Jasper.
Even while times are tough for the industry, Alberta is unique. This morning, the AFPA board focused on future opportunities during our strategic planning session.
Major highlights of the day included a board engagement with the Honourable Minister Todd Loewen and a welcome address from AFPA’s President & CEO, Jason Krips.
There was great energy in the room tonight, and the conversations are just getting started.

The numbers are getting harder to ignore. 👇
A new University of Calgary report has estimated the potentially devastating costs of separation:
🚨 $170 billion – potential five-year cost of separation
🚨 10% – potential job decline
🚨 $12,000 – potential annual wage loss
Separatists may be comfortable gambling with the prosperity Albertans have worked so hard to build, but the majority of Albertans are not.
On Oct. 19, vote to stay.
