Some of the most valuable data for onchain applications still lives behind Web2 accounts.
Your exchange balance, trading history, payment records and credit profile can all be useful, but bringing them onchain often creates a privacy problem. Verifying a fact should not require exposing an entire account history.
That is where @primus_labs and zkTLS become interesting. Primus uses cryptographic attestations to verify that offchain data came from an authentic HTTPS session, allowing applications to verify its source without simply receiving a full copy of the underlying records.
Imagine proving that your exchange balance exceeds a certain threshold without disclosing the exact amount. zkTLS helps establish the authenticity of the source data, while additional verification and computation logic can evaluate the specific condition.
Primus also explores combining zkTLS with zkVM to verify private data and execute application specific logic while keeping unnecessary information protected.
I think this is an important distinction for confidential finance. The goal is not to hide everything from everyone. It is to let applications verify what they actually need without collecting information they do not need.
As more financial activity moves onchain, @primus_labs is working on an important infrastructure layer connecting offchain information with verifiable onchain applications.

But I think the implementation matters just as much as the idea.

Before calling any launch fair I’d want to know:
• Which wallets are exempt?
• Is the tax decreasing exactly as configured?
• Can the launch rules be verified on chain?
Anti sniping protection can be useful but transparency is what gives participants confidence.
For me a good launch mechanism isn't just about slowing down bots It's about making sure everyone understands the rules before putting their money in.
