CHP için 31 Mart 2024 yerel seçimleri birçok beklenmedik ilke vesile oldu: On yıllar sonra ilk kez birinci parti olma; İç Anadolu'nun lider partisi olma; Adıyaman'ı, Amasya'yı, Afyon'u, Kilis'i kazanma; Üsküdar'ı, Beykoz'u, Gaziosmanpaşa'yı alma ve daha birçok şey.
Ancak tüm bunların yanında en çok dikkatimi çeken gelişme CHP'nin enteresan bir kabuk değişimini gerçekleştirmesi, gençlerin ve kadınların merkezinde olduğu birçok yeni aktörü siyasete kazandırması oldu. Elections in Turkey are not rigged, and Erdoğan's popularity over the years has been genuine. However, Turkey has not been a democracy either. It operates as a hybrid regime with a resilient and vibrant opposition. The fight for democracy in Turkey is ongoing and will continue.
