Hmmm. Got some people talking! Thanks for taking an interest. So, why offer this single knife three rank drill?
Choice. Choice. Choice. We’re adding more tools to the product portfolio. We’re listening to customers from a wide range of markets and differing soil conditions. Yeah, there are farmers who have soil different from yours, and different equipment needs. The world is a mighty large place.
We will forever fully promote the dual-knife precise placement fast, uniform emergence solution as the best for most conditions. But going forward, you will see additional seeding options coming out of our product development team. Again, it’s about putting choice in the hands of our customers.
And we think listening to customers is a damn good thing.
The Single Knife we are introducing at #AIM solves the problem of trying to use one cylinder for both packing pressure and trip force. Our Independent Trip uses a 2nd cylinder to fine-tune trip force & packing pressure independently. Better knife engagement, greater precision.

Now that is one fine looking canola crop right there! This crop was planted by H. Feitsma Farms, out of Ponoka, AB using a #Seedmaster #UltraSR, planted at 2.8lbs an acre resulting in approximately 260,000 plants per acre.

That’s how much Glyphosate is applied pre seeding to effectively control early weeds in crops
That’s about the same as 1 beer worth of liquid spread over a football field
We aren’t “dousing” our fields with chemicals
