As a guy who finds the indie scene way more fun than mainstream gaming, it's easy for me to be very excited by the way AI is going to help small studios and even individuals achieve their visions. So tired of games by focus groups. Let's usher in the games as novels era.

Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, on generative AI and the evolution of videogame creation:
'As you mentioned earlier, this is an era where even people who aren't game designers can make games. If we broaden the definition of a 'game,' I think the era has already arrived where everyone can make games. I had always thought it would be ideal for those boundaries to disappear, so I think this has become a very good era.'

Super impressive. People are going to get one-shot by this it's so realistic
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

Fighting from the confines of your car while shielding another person with your body at night against three attackers is perhaps the one of THE worst situations defensively you can be in.
And yet he prevailed.
He also had to clear at least two malfunctions/stoppages, which he did automatically and competently.
His shooting was also accurate enough to neutralise all three attackers, who had the advantage of mobility and surprise.
This man clearly trains with his defensive weapon, and is proficient with it.
"How could the billionaires all leave? My model very specifically said they would not leave."
Replying to @gabriel_zucman
Let’s be clear: this is a highly inappropriate way to model the effect of Prop 40 on taxpayer behavior.
For one, it’s a basic violation of rational expectations, a cornerstone of modern economics.
In Jaros and @joshrauh world, the billionaires act irrationally: they respond to a policy that does not exist and will never exist.
Economics students around the world are taught this is not an appropriate way to model behavior — but apparently in this context (fighting Prop 40) it’s OK.
