Nithya Raman once voted no on the LA Olympics and now she could be the mayor overseeing them.
What could she change?

We are not hiding anything. Every ad includes the proper disclosures, which is precisely how Raman’s campaign knew who to file a complaint against. Since she is so eager to draw attention to our work, we are happy to share the ads again. The real question is why a sitting councilmember running for mayor is so threatened by satire and scrutiny of her record.

The Department filed a waiverless criminal information to toll the statute of limitations as it relates to allegations concerning former FBI Director Comey. Filing a criminal information to toll the statute of limitations is a widely recognized practice in federal court and has been approved by multiple Circuit Courts of Appeals. This is an ongoing criminal investigation, and we will not comment further.

L.A. drivers, watch your speed! 🚨🚗
Los Angeles’ new speed cameras are officially live as of today, Oct. 26, with the first 20 cameras rolling out across the city and plans to expand to 125 locations by the end of 2026.
The cameras will detect drivers traveling 11 mph or more over the posted speed limit. For the first 60 days after activation, drivers will receive warnings by mail. After that, fines will range from $50 to $500, depending on how fast they’re going.
The cameras are being installed along high-risk corridors and near schools as part of the city’s effort to reduce speeding and traffic-related fatalities.

BREAKING: A federal judge has ruled that the Trump administration unlawfully fired Maurene Comey, the former SDNY prosecutor who worked on the Epstein, Maxwell and Diddy cases. In a 55-page ruling, Judge Jesse Furman rejected DOJ’s constitutional defense of her firing, ordering retroactive reinstatement and backpay. Comey, daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, was fired in July 2025 without notice or explanation. The judge found that DOJ violated federal civil service law and her due process rights. Her separate political retaliation claim remains unresolved.

Harvey Levin delivers a blistering criticism of Donald Trump and Elon Musk over their handling of the war in Ukraine and the controversy surrounding Starlink.
Frustrated by Trump’s repeated use of the word “traitor” to attack his critics, Harvey turns the accusation back on Trump and Musk, arguing that their actions are costing lives and undermining freedom.
In an emotional exchange with Mark Geragos, Harvey condemns what he sees as their willingness to accommodate Vladimir Putin and questions the consequences of their influence on the war.

Karen Bass says she had made mistakes but is “absolutely ready to lead,” referring to her opponent as the “unknown.” Thoughts?
I ask @KarenBassLA about voters who supported @RickCarusoLA & @spencerpratt and don't like her performance...but are worried about @nithyavraman?
Bass: "Vote for me! You know what you're getting!"
Me: "They would say that they don't like what they've gotten?"
Bass: "It's a binary choice here. You can go with the unknown. The inexperienced. The new to L.A. The person who is OK with encampments being in front of schools and doesn't like police. Or you can go with the leader who is tried, true, honest...who has made mistakes, absolutely made mistakes but is ready to continue to lead."

As L.A.’s mayoral race heats up, so do frustrations over skyrocketing utility bills.
With Election Day approaching, rising Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) costs have become a major issue in the race between Mayor Karen Bass and challenger Nithya Raman.
Bass has announced a temporary pause on utility shutoffs through the end of the year, while Raman is calling for an LADWP audit, greater transparency around rate increases and infrastructure improvements.
Meanwhile, L.A. resident and former UCLA football player Micah Reed is demanding answers after receiving a $3,322.01 utility bill, nearly 25% higher than his bill during the same period last year.
LADWP confirmed that its residential Tier 1 electricity rate has increased approximately 45% since January 2023, while also pointing to increased electricity usage during record-breaking summer heat.
As both candidates propose solutions, some Angelenos remain skeptical, questioning whether either plan will provide meaningful relief from rising costs.
