we're not put on this earth to do things, we're here to learn and love and be fascinated. not letting fear and bigotry devour your soul is an accomplishment. finding beauty in the mundane is an accomplishment. keep the flame of your wonder alive and let no one snatch it from you.

After being closed for over half a year, I'm re-opening to queries in two weeks starting May 1st. Please be gentle...! 🐙
Focusing mainly on fiction these days: I love big, juicy, ambitious genre-defying literary novels that are as entertaining as they are profound(ly moving).
For those of you who may have been waiting to query @AnnieAHwang, we're excited to share that she'll finally be re-opening to queries in two weeks! 📚✨She'll be accepting submissions only during the month of May, so get your query letters ready!

I hope you find time this week to do the nourishing, soul-filling things: writing a poem or plotting a novel, board games with the family, reading for education, reading for pleasure, reading for any reason whatsoever.

As stressful as this transition has been, I've had a brilliant two first days in the BBC office and my latest article has come out. Which reminds me that this is all what it's for.

I sold a book in 2023, but until I've finished writing the damn thing, the thing I am proudest of is the community we've created with the Accountability Workshops. I always wanted to be part of a serious writing community that didn't involve workshopping - and now we have it.
