When We were Growing Up the High School Head Football Coach was the Most RESPECTED Man & Leader in the Town.
He was just as or More Valuable than the Mayor & Viewed in Communities like the President especially in 1 & 2 HS Towns (Cities). That admiration & respect trickled so when College Coaches actually came to watch an older guy it was MAJOR. That in return gave young kids HOPE that they would be in those same shoes playing for that Head Coach.
Now everyone is a GURU & believe they know more than Him & The 1st Sign of anything they are ready to remove him from town. That has trickled to entitlement that some take it for granted or just expect that college coaches are supposed to be there when EVERY visit from a College coach is special as Well.

Desert Ridge: It was reported: "A source tells 12Sports administration wants to allow some of the kids who were suspended for the season to return."
Does the admin understand what they just did to their program and any future head coaches!
When you have admin like this it is not worth your time at all-all of this stuff about "Audibles" when the QB admitted he changed the play in the huddle yet people going at the Smiths for holding their ground.
I wish they wouldnt have quit BUT I can see why-especially the dad-people have no idea what it takes to be in his lane as a HC like Lovie Smith and what he has done and given that to his son and instead you have people attacking them for clicks or worse yet.
As a longtime HC I can see what Jesus meant when he said '“And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”
The parents who drove them away have no idea what their kids couldve learned from the both of them and the connections they could open up for them is something you do not come across.
I was gonna post an article before they resigned and will for sure still do it-

Shame on @GPS_District for allowing this to happen.
My sources tell me that leadership came to @DRJaguarsFB HC Miles Smith demanding that 5-players who had walked out in protest should be allowed to return. Undermining Smith’s authority. Shaking my head.
Great job of reporting on this story by @TMESportsShow from the jump. I have confirmed that @dridgeathletics HC Miles Smith in fact has resigned. Lovie Smith was just a volunteer, and obviously won’t return. We cannot afford to lose great coaches , leaders and men.

🏈 | Season No. 100 begins with high aspirations with the program having produced a combined 15-5 record over the past two seasons. The Bulldogs retained nearly 100 players from last season’s roster in a marker of the program’s winning culture.
