If closing 4 schools was never really on the table, why did LCPS's presentation already spell out where those students would be relocated? Parents aren't spreading misinformation, they repeated what LCPS put in a public meeting & now LCPS is doing what they do best, LIE/coverup!
Loudoun County Public Schools seeks to counter āmisinformationā related their own presentation on Tuesday that suggested closing 4 schools.
To be clear, it isnāt that the info was false. LCPS literally did a cost analysis on closing 4 schools and put it out there in a public meeting. The problem is people were listening and spoke out. Thatās called āmisinformationā in LCPS. š
Loudoun Education Foundation proudly posted 3 days ago about its partnership with @LCPSOfficial in a new social services hub. LCPS agreed to provide 8 new staff, a warehouse, and other TBD costs totaling millions of dollars.
How does LEF feel about LCPSās new āhiring pauseā and potential school closures? Should this hub proceed?

Republican senators who are pushing for more H1B visas to replace American workers:
⢠Mike Rounds (R-SD)
⢠John Barrasso (R-WY)
⢠Susan Collins (R-ME)
⢠Kevin Cramer (R-ND)
⢠Mike Crapo (R-ID)
⢠Steve Daines (R-MT)
⢠Deb Fischer (R-NE)
⢠John Husted (R-OH)
⢠Cynthia Lummis (R-WY)
⢠Jerry Moran (R-KS)
⢠Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)
⢠James Risch (R-ID)
⢠Tim Scott (R-SC)
⢠John Thune (R-SD)
⢠Thom Tillis (R-NC)
šØ 33 U.S. SENATORS WANT MORE FOREIGN WORKERS.
Republicans AND Democrats.
They're urging the Trump administration to issue the maximum number of additional H-2B visas for 2027.
Their argument? American workers alone can't meet employers' needs.
Here's my question:
Before expanding foreign-worker programs, shouldn't employers have to prove they offered competitive wages and genuinely tried to hire Americans?
A labor shortage and a shortage of workers willing to accept the offered wage aren't necessarily the same thing.

Was catching up with a teacher friend yesterday who had to vent about PBIS.
She teaches 5th grade and about a week ago, she asked the class to come down to the carpet for a lesson. She has a student with a behavior IEP that basically says he wonāt have to change seats ever throughout the year because new seats can be triggering to him (along with a whole host of other things which basically equates to he doesnāt have to do anything he doesnāt want to do because it could be triggering)⦠this also applies to coming down to the carpet.
But ultimately this story isnāt about him. The other kids have noticed that this student doesnāt have to follow the same rules and directions, and one student decided he didnāt want to come down to the carpet for the lesson. He wanted to stay back at his seat to goof off with his friend with the IEP. When my friend told him he needed to, he said, āNo itās freakinā stupid to have to sit on the carpet.ā Mind you the rest of the class had already settled in.
My friend repeated, āYou need to come over here for the lesson. Please take a seat on the carpet with us.ā His response was, āNo, I donāt want to itās freakinā stupid!ā
So basically it was a stand off until the teacher said, āSo youāre already getting a phone call home about this, and itās up to you on if I can say that you pulled it together and came down to the carpet.ā
He then complied, stomped over, and sat carpet adjacent. She asked him to please move to the carpet where the other kids were sitting. He said, āIām on CARPET!ā
How does this relate to PBIS?
Well because her district has adopted the ānewā PBIS program there are restrictions on consequences. Teachers are not allowed to take recess, have a student walk a lap at recess, have the student owe a buck (their whole school PBIS reward system), but the biggest kicker is that teachers canāt have their own in class reward/consequence system. So effectively the biggest consequence a kid could receive for blatant disrespect in that situation is to fill out a āThink Sheetā (but not during recess) and get a phone call home.
When my friend called home, the Mom was apologetic but ultimately said she was at her wits end. She doesnāt know what to do either. Quote from Mom, āI try to get him to do things and he argues with me in the same way! I donāt know what to do about it!ā
When districts prevent a teacher from providing a meaningful consequence in the moment, and parents donāt know how to parent, they are basically tying a teachers hands behind their back and telling them to swim.
Her principalās advice after hearing about the situation⦠āDid you reward the students who did come down to the carpet, with a buck?ā
I couldnāt roll my eyes hard enough.

Please take a moment to read.
Sometime soon I'll be releasing a report detailing the medical records from a detransitioner, showing direct evidence of the healthcare fraud scheme the DOJ has been investigating.
Records like this have never been made public.
This is a continuation of the work I did as a co-author of the HHS report Wolves in White Coats, where we documented the mountain of publicly available evidence demonstrating this proxy diagnosis fraud scheme in gender clinics across the country.
This report will show the most direct evidence: actual medical records.
Because these medical records provide such clear evidence of criminality, establishment forces have done everything in their power to prevent Trump's DOJ from obtaining them. Without these medical records, gender doctors remain effectively immune from serious consequence (i.e. prison)
I believe that if the public can see the records themselves, that protection becomes much more difficult to defend. The evidence is simply too shocking, the criminality too flagrant, the harm truly incalculable.
Even though Trump's DOJ has secured major victories - six civil settlements with major childrenās hospitals - this punishment ultimately does not fit the crime.
This goal of this report is to help ensure that one day it does.
This will be the first in what I plan to be a series of reports, to be released on X, outlining detransitioner records from multiple clinics across the country, all employing the same fraud scheme against public and private insurers.

Not a scientific poll from Loudoun Now, yet the results are still revealing. As enrollment declines, where should school leaders look for cost savings?
Hey @LCPSOfficial here's a good question for you.
Replying to @LCPSDoBetter @LCPSOfficial
Question for @LCPSOfficial: enrollment is falling countywide, why isn't consolidation being modeled in the 12-school eastern review that's already underway? Put the utilization numbers for Aldie, Hamilton, Lincoln & Lucketts next to the eastern schools to see the full picture.
Whatās really strange about the sudden @LCPSOfficial proposal to close schools in western Loudoun is that RIGHT NOW they are considering attendance zones & utilization in eastern Loudoun, so if any schools were on the chopping block it should be the ones currently being studied.

šØ BREAKING: TEXAS JUST TOOK THE H-1B FIGHT TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL.
Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller announced that businesses employing H-1B visa workers will no longer qualify for certain taxpayer-funded state grants.
Read that again.
Companies can choose to hire H-1B workers.
But Texas taxpayers shouldnāt have to subsidize that decision.
And Miller isnāt stopping there.
Heās challenging Governor Greg Abbott and other state officials to adopt similar restrictions across their agencies.
This could go far beyond agriculture.
Hereās the question every governor should answer:
Why are American taxpayers subsidizing companies that hire foreign workers while qualified Americans struggle to find jobs?
Should all 50 states follow Texas?

@LCPSOfficial board seems shocked that staff would recommend closing schools to tighten the budget. They forced this by approving an unnecessary resource hub, and have nobody to blame but themselves.
