Had no idea about this award and realised just how good it is (and that Sadio Mane actually won the first one). Given it’s for footballers who do great things for humanity outside of football, I love it. This is what Saka has done recently: ✅ 120 life-changing operations: Partnered with BigShoe to fund surgery for disadvantaged children in Nigeria, including treatment for brain tumours and hernias. ✅ School uniforms: Donated more than 1,000 uniforms to four schools in Ealing, London, where he grew up. ✅ Football boots: Donated over 100 pairs to Street Soccer Academy, which supports young people experiencing homelessness. ✅ Fighting racism: Publicly challenged social media companies over racist abuse following England's Euro 2020 final. ✅ Football development: Established a football academy in Nigeria to create opportunities for young people Well done, young man!
