Today is World Humanitarian Day, a time to honor the courageous humanitarian workers who risk their lives to help those in need. Protecting the safety of humanitarian workers is essential so they can continue to deliver vital aid to vulnerable communities.
On Wednesday, I met with Carl Schulze, who recently traveled in his wheelchair for 11 days to the capital to raise awareness about the recent Medicaid-funded home care cuts that impact people with disabilities and take away their independence.
