Long Island doesn’t need more partisans. It needs more accountability.
I’ll be calling out hypocrisy, incompetence, and cowardice — on both sides.

Nassau Dems vote NO on County Budget due to use of $44M of reserves. "When asked to respond to their concerns, Blakeman said Democrats say they want to reduce spending but "have provided no solutions to the issues that face the taxpayers." "
I agree these type of things are super gimmicky and voters realize it.

From North Hempstead to Southampton, town supervisor races highlight local election slates this fall, with incumbents seeking to ward off challengers in five contested heats.
In all, voters will head to the polls in seven of the Island's 13 towns to choose who will hold the top job in their respective town.
Local budgets and future development are among the prominent issues.

Anyone who says “everyone hates Hochul” needs to make more friends. Anyone who says “I only see Blakeman signs in my neighborhood” is confusing visibility with electability. Anyone who says “we aren’t a blue state we only have blue cities,” needs to realize that land doesn’t vote
There are 6 NYS senate seats where the R won by 55% or less in 2024. 5 seek re-election
01 Palumbo 52.9%
07 Martins 55.1% (open seat)
17 Chan 54.7%
38 Weber 52.4%
39 Rolison 50.7%
44 Ashby 54.6%
Dems would only need to flip one for a supermajority.
Districts 38 and 39 are indicated below. All or part of Putnam, Dutchess and Orange Counties: lot’s of overlap with Mike Lawler’s district. If Lawler goes down, expect that these two may also.

Blakeman has only ever won in local races that Jay Jacobs was squarely in charge of. When it comes to the statewide, I wouldn’t credit him completely. Hochul is the boss and there’s an entire team of serious people running the operation.
1999 is an exception, at the height of republicans mismanaging and bankrupting the county under Exec Tom Gulotta. Why we have NIFA still today.
18 murders in Nassau County in 2025. That’s up from 15 in 2024. Someone should look into the cause of this 20% spike and find the local officials responsible! There’s a mass crimewave going on in Nassau County!!! Where is the NY Post its official newspaper?!!
My favorite part:
“Crime is rampant everywhere!” Mr. Blakeman told a small crowd of supporters outside the diner.
“Crime is rampant everywhere?” a television reporter muttered to himself, with citywide trends suggesting just the opposite. “Does he ever read the crime stats?”
NEW: He is good friends with President Trump, an ex-husband to a Beatle’s wife and a Republican power player on Long Island. Now @NassauExec wants to be governor.
Can he swim against what appears to be a profoundly blue political tide? w/@mattfleg

Maybe it has something to do with his own lackluster campaign and his constant posting of weird AI shit like this.
