Our #personoftheday for #BlackHistoryMonth is Shirley Chisholm. THIS WOMAN KICKED ...I 'll let you come up with the last word. See her quote? It is, by far, one of my absolute favorite quotes! Shirley really shed light on the prejudice against women as well as racism.

This is terrifying.
I remember saying this was likely in April, thinking I was just being a pessimist. What if he doesn’t want to leave? It was laughed off. I was told “He will be dragged out.” It stuck with me.
What can we do? What happens when it spreads? And it will.

I just need to say for the kdis that can still see me, you're the future. You are. And you need to know that is not what normal looks like, sounds like, this is not acceptable and you should hold your generation to higher standards. I'm sorry the adults around you failed today.

Can we look back to learn how to go forward? I don’t know. I do know Martin Luther King Jr was a brilliant mind and teacher. “....Rioters are the voice of the unheard.” teapawt.org/isiah4congress/status/…

#LPHSGoodThings Today’s good thing was definitely the staff meeting. It was good seeing coworkers and hearing the positive things we are doing as a district to benefit our students and families 💙🧡💙🧡
