Three Former Libertarian Gubernatorial Candidates Endorse Kissick/Mills For Ohio Governor xitter.cf/LPOhio/status/21147149…
Three Former Libertarian Gubernatorial Candidates Endorse Kissick/Mills For Ohio Governor Ohio Libertarians Have Known for Years That the Two-Party System Often Leads to “One-Party Rule” in the Buckeye State FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COLUMBUS, OHIO, October 25, 2026 – Three former Libertarian Party of Ohio (LPO) gubernatorial candidates have now announced their support for Don Kissick for Governor and the Kissick/Mills ticket. Bill Peirce (2006), Charlie Earl (2014), and Travis Irvine (2018) have united behind Kissick, offering Ohio voters a Libertarian alternative to Republican Vivek Ramaswamy and Democrat Dr. Amy Acton. Peirce, the LPO’s 2006 gubernatorial candidate, recently joined Earl and Irvine in announcing his endorsement, writing: “I am happy to join the other previous candidates for Ohio governor in endorsing you.” The announcement adds another former gubernatorial candidate to a growing show of support for Kissick and his running mate, James Mills. “With this year’s governor race reaching new levels of toxicity, Don has stayed above the fray,” said Irvine. “He has consistently focused on the issues Ohioans care about, such as data centers, flock cameras, property taxes and more. If the two major party candidates for governor have lost your support or even your respect, I strongly encourage Ohio voters to consider Don Kissick.” “As the two old parties saddle you with obnoxious choices, Don Kissick provides a breath of fresh air,” said Earl, who also attended Kissick’s wedding. “Don is a firm believer in a bottom-line, cost-effective government. He abhors excessive taxation and wasteful governmental monstrosity. I’m proud to call him my friend and will be even prouder to call him my Governor.” The endorsements underscore a concern Ohio Libertarians have raised for decades: the two-party system frequently produces something resembling one-party rule, leaving voters with limited choices and little meaningful competition. The 2026 gubernatorial election also carries enormous consequences for the Libertarian Party of Ohio. Kissick’s campaign must receive at least 3% of the statewide gubernatorial vote to maintain the LPO’s recognized ballot access going forward. That requirement stems from Senate Bill 193, passed by Ohio’s Republican-controlled legislature in 2013 and signed by then-Governor John Kasich. Critics dubbed the legislation the “John Kasich Re-Election Protection Act” because of the burdens it imposed on third parties seeking to compete in Ohio elections. Three former Libertarian candidates for Ohio’s highest office have now joined in supporting Don Kissick. Their endorsements reinforce the importance of giving Ohio voters a genuine alternative to the red and blue teams. Today I rode a portion of the @american_trail relay out of @EnjoyOxfordOH. @America250 I carried the Liberty baton, with a copy of the Declaration of Independence inside. I picked that baton on purpose. Personal liberty is at the heart of how I want to serve. #jasonp4liberty

Once again, I am flattered my opponents are following our campaign so actively that they are co-opting our top platform planks... ...but we were talking about ALPRs well before Saturday, Oct. 17. Maybe Dr. Acton has been too distracted with dodging debates to stay timely.
Ohioans shouldn’t have to sacrifice their rights to keep our state safe. As governor, I will support legislation to ban Flock cameras. I will always support law enforcement and keep our communities safe without allowing mass surveillance of everyday Ohioans.

Might want to step down off ogf your high horse when your candidate is bailing on his promise to debate @DonCKissick
Amy Acton, call your office. Banning the press from your events, not allowing filming or recording at your events and refusing to debate ain’t Youngstown Tough.

America has a bigger problem than socialism. It’s collectivism. Republicans and Democrats both use the “greater good” to justify controlling your life. They just disagree on which freedoms to take away. Different agendas. Same coercion. Your liberty is always the sacrifice.
