"Sometimes, Yuyao Mom goes to Van alone to give birth, and the busy Dad can't accompany her; please rest assured, Yuyao Maternity "So ridicilous that Canadian govt has not addressed & put an end to the abusive practice of birth tourism! @JasJohalBC facebook.com

Govt still can’t get a handle on money laundering, “it takes months to get law enforcement”. If govt can’t create dependable, working & successful systems how will they fix AI problems?

As @Conservative_BC party moves to repeal UNDRIP, a secret report spotlights China's long game for Canada’s resources. Via @scoopercooper China recognizes Indigenous governments exercise consequential authority over forestry & mining. Under the guise of tourism, Chinese officials have sought to exploit that authority through deceptive diplomatic outreach. #bcpoli #cdnpoli #firstnations open.substack.com/pub/thebur…

Dangerous & a national threat. FN should not hv the power to put Canada in harms way. Great reporting by Scooper & good for Todd for bringing this to light.

"China has long recognized that Indigenous governments exercise consequential authority over Canadian territory and natural resources. And according to a previously classified intelligence review obtained exclusively by The Bureau, Chinese officials have sought to exploit that authority through deceptive diplomatic outreach."

Massive giveaway to developers, without questions or comment from GREEN Fry or COPE Orr — just a vote in lockstep with ABC. So disappointing! Does this mean that the new Council will continue fealty to Planning and Real Estate staff, giving developers whatever they want?

Litmus test fail? Here is the vote (image by CityHallWatch as the Clerk did not produce one). Green/COPE/OneCity voted unanimously with ABC Vancouver. Not a single question, not a word spoken. Despite massive negative implications for rental housing for years to come. #vanpoli

Let's all remember who "Grand Chief" (an invented title) Stewart Phillip is really allied with. It is not British Columbians. "At a press conference announcing the strategy on Tuesday, Grand Chief Stewart Phillip said First Nations are tired of being sidelined by Ottawa and the province, and will now strive to negotiate directly with Chinese investors." cbc.ca/news/canada/british-c…

Progressives blaming Eby’s defeat in the election timing are totally missing the point. The whole purpose of the early election was to try to overcome the government’s unpopularity rooted in its poor outcomes. The real problem was the cumulative cost of Eby’s ideological agenda. His government was the last holdout of the failures of Trudeauian progressivism: a subordination of economic growth in favour of deficit financed welfare spending, a dogmatic commitment to climate change and its anti-development effects, excessive identity politics and an overly self critical posture towards Canadian history, and its radical experiment with the harm reduction model. Election timing and campaign choices didn’t defeat the Eby government. A broad cross-section of British Columbians—from rural parts of the province to downtown Vancouver—rejected it based on the self-evident failure of its ideas.
