Daniel Farke and Leeds United have reached an agreement in principle on a new contract running to 2029.
Paperwork to be finalised and signed, but there is broad agreement on the structure of the new terms.#lufc nytimes.com/athletic/7665636…
🔍 FOCUS ON: Ao Tanaka vs Arsenal.
First man to touch the ball at the Emirates on Saturday, and he never stopped in that first hour.
Pressing from the front, protecting the back line with Ampadu, covering the left, shutting down passing lanes and organising those around him.

Football: it really is in Harry Gray’s blood.
His grandfather, Frank, great uncle, Eddie, and father, Andy, played over 1,000 combined games for Leeds United and just under 50 times for Scotland.
Big brother Archie and Harry, however, are hoping to represent England at the highest level.
Gray turned 18 yesterday but has already made over 20 league starts.
Regarded as a confident, clinical and hard-working striker, at youth level he was known for playing off the shoulder of defenders, intelligent movement and composure. In recent years, he’s developed and shown his capability as a multi-dimensional forward, playing in all positions behind a striker, especially on the left, where he’s impressed with his pace, power and intelligent passing.
A product of Leeds’ academy, Gray flew through the age groups and even played for their U18s as a 14-year-old. He also made a first-team appearance for his boyhood club at Elland Road in a 6-0 Championship win vs Stoke at the age of 16.
Following Leeds’ promotion, it was clear Harry needed a loan move for first-team minutes, so he joined Rotherham in the second half of last season. Despite joining a struggling side that were relegated, he gained valuable first-team experience and his first taste of scoring at this level, with goals vs Northampton, Exeter and Leyton Orient.
He’s ticking off the Yorkshire clubs, much like his old man, having joined Sheffield Wednesday in the summer to be part of their rejuvenation under new ownership, with the aim of taking the club back to the Championship at the first time of asking.
He’s represented England at U15, U16 and U17 level, where he scored his first Three Lions goal, and is now part of Ben Futcher’s talented U19s, alongside the likes of Max Dowman. He played significant minutes during the most recent international break and started as part of an exciting attacking unit featuring Luca Williams-Barnett, Ryan McAidoo and Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez in the 2-1 win vs Norway, where he provided an assist for AGR’s goal.
The Grays join the Bellinghams and the Heskeys as brothers thriving for England across different age groups - surely it’s only a matter of time before we see siblings playing together for the senior team for the first time since the Nevilles in 1996.

DF: "It's difficult to describe the emotions. Congratulations to Arsenal. It's down to their mentality. Heartbroken and gutted for my players. Good away performance with no points is tough. Very proud. First half good level, did not allow any chances. We looked more dangerous."

Written Piece: The Quiet Brilliance of Ethan Ampadu theleedsview.ie/the-quiet-br…
He doesn’t score 30-yard screamers, he rarely makes the highlight reels, and you’ll struggle to find him on a goal-of-the-month shortlist. But dig into the numbers and Ethan Ampadu might just be the most important player at Leeds United.
