Of the 115 people who have served on the Supreme Court, only three of them have been people of color – and only five have been women. It’s time to bring a new perspective to the Supreme Court. It’s time to put a Black woman on the Supreme Court.

With a 52-48 vote, the Senate declined to make changes to the filibuster to ensure the passage of the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act.
HAPPENING NOW: The Senate is voting on whether to change the rules to pass #VotingRights reforms with a simple majority.

Unfortunately the Senate did not make this a reality...we have more work to do for #VotingRights
We need to convince @POTUS and our senators to do whatever is necessary to pass the Freedom to Vote: John R. Lewis Act. "Wouldn’t that be a wonderful way to honor MLK, and all civil rights activists?"—@LWVSnoho #WeDreamOfVotingRights #MLKLegacy bit.ly/3GEeZca
