🧵/1 AI-driven discovery of GPNMB CAR T cells as a multi-cancer therapy @CellPressNews AI did not “invent” a CAR T therapy here. It helped focus the search for a plausible target in a very large haystack of public single-cell and expression data. That distinction matters. The important advance is human expertise plus AI triage, followed by wet lab validation. GPNMB CAR T activity across melanoma, leukemia, and colorectal models is intriguing. The hard human enabled part is demonstrating specificity, safety, clinical translation. @PennMedicine @daniel_baker_j @JonEpsteinLab @AranyLab @carlhjune

Honored to share our newly published manuscript ascopubs.org/journal/jco which demonstrates that circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) by PhasED-Seq offers the most precise definition of remission after frontline therapy for patients with large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) out now in @JCO_ASCO. #ctDNA detection of #MRD. 1/18 – at Stanford, CA

Friends, I am at a loss of words for how devastating it would be to lose the entire intramural #NIH program. Some of the biggest medical and scientific breakthroughs have come from scientists in the NIH Intramural program. #SaveTheNIH science.org/content/article/…

Very important and much needed funding to establish ATMP Norway, a multi-nodal national infrastructure for cell and gene therapy. Building on investments in GMP laboratories at @Oslounivsykehus and Haukeland University Hospital and a partnership with @UniOslo_MED.
Vi er svært glade for tildelingene fra @forskningsradet i dag, som bla. gir midler til å forsette å jobber med celle-genterapi, samt til forprosjekt for protonterapi. 1,3 milliardar kroner til forskingsinfrastruktur (forskningsradet.no)

🧩 Gains in chromosomes 12, 18 (TCF4), and loss in 6q were identified as stable copy number alterations, with a newly developed tool for screening longitudinal biopsies. These early events could be key for future diagnostic and monitoring strategies. #LymphomaResearch
