I hate everything about this. I know it's silly and idealistic but I always hope that technology leads to more humane experiences. That it serves to ennoble life and enrich our daily living.
That's what first interested me in technology, the ability to connect one heart to another heart. The ability to increase the scope of human expression. The ability to throw a lifeline to someone in a small town who could not formerly gain access to great art or literature or music.
We should resist the impulse to only make money, to only tickle the lower brain with shallow baubles of entertainment. We should use technology to seek higher things and greater realization.
