A wedding photographer who shoots half his work on an iPhone told me the biggest difference between amateur iPhone photos and professional-looking ones isnโt the camera.
Itโs the three seconds before you press the shutter.
Heโs shot entire engagement sessions, product catalogs, and travel films on an iPhone. Heโs seen people with a $1,300 iPhone take photos worse than someone with a $200 phone โ and people with an older iPhone take photos that look like magazine covers.
He doesnโt sell presets. He doesnโt work for Apple. He doesnโt care which phone you use.
He shoots every day, edits hundreds of photos a week, and sees the same mistakes over and over.
His average fix: light, distance, and one tap on the screen.
