Hayfield/Schaeffer Academy Lady Vikes

We had our 2025-26 Girls Basketball Banquet last night. We celebrated all the awesome accomplishments these girls had on and off the court during their 22-8 season. Our seven seniors put together amazing careers and will be greatly missed next year! #LadyVikes

Section 1A Final Hayfield/SA 62 NRHEG 64 Led for a majority of the game, but couldn't finish it off. Our 7 seniors led this team on an incredible run and put their stamp on Lady Vikes basketball. #LadyVikes

Section 1A Semifinal Hayfield/SA 61 Southland 51 Got down 23-16 in the first half, but responded with a 14-4 run to take a lead into half. Then ballooned that lead to 21 in the second half. Really good execution by our girls! Section Championship on Thursday! #LadyVikes

Section 1A Quarterfinal Hayfield/SA 74 Lanesboro 59 After a rough start, the girls played solid defense and attacked the rim relentlessly. We move on to play Southland in the Section 1A semifinals. That game is Saturday, 6:30pm, at the Mayo Civic Auditorium. #LadyVikes

In our last game, Lily Morrisey became the all-time leading scorer in Schaeffer Academy girls basketball history as she passed Megan Boegel (2018 grad). Megan had 1,375 career points, and Lily currently sits at 1,384 points. Congrats Lily! #LadyLions #LadyVikes

Congrats to our senior @LilyMorrisey21 on her commitment to play college basketball for the Bethel Royals! #LadyVikes

Our Lady Vikes have received the #2 seed in Section 1A playoffs. With that comes a first round bye. #LadyVikes

We celebrated Hayfield senior night as four girls potentially played their final game on the Hayfield home court. Yes, even Betsy Gillete got out there for one basket! (Thank you to KW for making that happen!) Hayfield Seniors: Maggie, Betsy, Carmen, and Avi. #LadyVikes

Hayfield/SA 54 KW 42 With the win, your Lady Vikes are the Gopher Conference East Division Champs and advance to tomorrow's (Saturday) Gopher Conference Championship Game at NRHEG. That game will take place at 7pm. Your Lady Vikes are 20-6 overall. #LadyVikes

Hayfield/SA 51 Fillmore Central 47 Down another starter (this time to sickness) the girls dug deep on the road and pulled out a hard fought win. Now 19-6 on the season and end the regular season at home Friday vs KW. #LadyVikes

Lanesboro 74 Hayfield/SA 67 Lanesboro shot the lights out in the second half as they totaled 50 points after the intermission. Tip the cap to them and move on to another tough battle tomorrow at home vs NRHEG. #LadyVikes

It was pen to paper day for @betsygillette7 as she officially signed her letter to play for @LutherWBB next year! It was a great for her family, friends, and coaches to be there and celebrate a lifelong dream she has had to play college basketball. Congrats Betsy!! #LadyVikes

Hayfield/SA 57 Blooming Prairie 55 Found ourselves down by 14 in the 2nd half, but the girls dug deep on the road and pulled out an improbable win. Avi Alexander was fantastic at the line going 11-12 (8-8 in the 2nd half). Now 18-4. At Lanesboro on Thursday. #LadyVikes

Hayfield/SA 81 L-O 43 It was Schaeffer Academy senior night and those three (Morrisey, Buehler, and Gommels) put on a show for the home crowd with a combined 42 points! We improve to 17-4 on the season. #LadyVikes

Hayfield/SA 60 Bethlehem Academy 21 The girls played great defense throughout and Jenna Christopherson had a season high 24 points to lead the way. Now 16-4 and play at Schaeffer Academy tomorrow vs L-O. #LadyVikes

Life isn't fair. This girl has worked her butt off, done all the right things, and was having a stellar senior season. It's hard to see that all ripped away from her. We know she will rehab hard and Luther is getting one heck of a player and a person! #LadyVikes

Hayfield/SA 69 Houston 51 The girls played well tonight and built a lead as big as 35 in the second half. Now 15-4 and play at Bethlehem Academy on Monday. #LadyVikes

Hayfield/SA 49 Triton 74 It was a three point game at halftime, but things weren't pretty in the second half. Credit Triton for playing extremely well. Now 14-4 and next in action at Schaeffer Academy on Thursday vs Houston. #LadyVikes

Congrats to alumni @nataliebeaver24 on being named the American Rivers Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week!
