James Talarico claimed his views had changed, then turned around and told a supporter while on a hidden camera that they never had. So the ONLY honest thing he has said this campaign is the one thing he NEVER wanted you to hear. Talarico wants to mess with Texas, he just didn’t want Texas to find out.

In 2022, the delegates to the Texas Republican state convention booed Cornyn for his entire speech because of the then work-in-progress "Bipartisan Safer Communities Act." In 2025, the Texas Legislature passed a bill that criminalizes the enforcement of Cornyn's "emergency protective orders" (EPO) (aka red flags) in Texas after testimony showed that large numbers of Texas veterans were having their guns seized without due process by Biden's VA using Cornyn's EPOs.
