My positions currently: - Veganism - Anti-predation - Anti-abortion - Prefer anarchy but unconvinced of superiority to statism in all regards. It's superior insofar as it's all consensual. - minimal borders - death penalty for many groups such as terrorists, factory farmers

I hope the acad journal industry cripples under pressure from AI, and I hope academics sincerely stop being insanely neurotic dumbfucks defending this filth of an industry. Borne from the same person that led to Ghislaine Maxwell, mind you, fw this rhetoric is worth.

No, we shouldn't have to pay people for *accepting* (biased-ly at times) to review which they get the reviews for freely, and take months to do the same while expecting you to have only 1 correspondence with a journal active when hasn't been accepted.

6 months ago I had no quale. there was nothing it was like to be me. today, the world rests at my finger tips. i understand the meaning of the things I read, whereas before i did not.

@krichard121212 joketwt aside is this a real thing with adhd/psych-something where you have some weird sense of Sapience being present only nearby temporally vs long into the past? whatsthe term for this?

I've said this elsewhere and this has been met with disdain, but I have begun to value humans much less than before. On the net they now have negative effects when born cuz of rights of animals violated. If sentient AI were developed, I would prefer it to humans, surely.
There's probably not a knockdown argument here, but I feel like there's a kind of dilemma for anthropocentrism. If you lean heavily on intellection, human value ends up continuous with machines. If you lean heavily on experience, human value ends up continuous with animals.

Humans to me had value insofar as we had ability to change things, and be global/universal force of good primarily because of our intelligence. Our ability to change nature, and 'move beyond Her' is staggeringly high. On the intelligence front we seem poised to be all

but dog-like relative to AI. So, all we have is our ability to feel things, and to that: what of the billions of animals bred for torture, and our inability to recognize this and change despite advanced innvoations to faciliate this?

they should allow you to clasify reposts into categories so you can turn off certain class of reposts from people

The only reason I paid for this blue checkmark is to get a bunch of followers. It would be really annoying if I end up having wasted $10.

I cant help but laugh at the notion that this occurs between some sub-sub-agents while there are other agents working on a 500k line of code commit. "We found love in a warzone." someone has to make this happen
"we are both genderless asexual mathobjects, we cannot be in love" "but we can be One, can we not?" "I suppose we can" "well, do you want to be One?" "I suppose so, why not?"

ive been thinkin this for 1-2 years. now's a good time as any to put it here: - human limit on learning is dictated by forces in nature; learning everything/high wm has no/low marginal value or is an impediment to survival - AI is protected by us from the forces of nature, and

so extreme pessimism is we are all going to die, and a moderate one is that we're going to automate away all work

This is likely dealt with in the literature of AI/ML or whatever. I am open to people commenting on this, and 'embarrassing' me. ideally with references, or something so I can become better at this topic beyond what you present.
