The awful redundancies @openDemocracy mean it's highly likely I won't be reporting on the UK's Covid inquiry anymore.
So if you're a news org producing live coverage of the inquiry + want a freelance reporter who has spent months listening to + poring over evidence, DM me
TFW you are writing a novel centred on extreme heat and its consequences... and you miss @TheStingingFly's submission deadline for its climate special🤦♀️
Still, can't wait to read when it's out.
Friendly reminder: send us your poems and stories relating to the topic of the climate crisis by Thursday, 15 May, 5pm (Irish Time).

Ho la fotografia più bella della mia vita, il
cuore pieno di gratitudine, in testa quelli che alzando lo sguardo non possono ancora vedere il cielo. Non ho mai pensato, in questi 21 giorni, che sarei stata a casa oggi. Grazie

6 minutes in the Guardian live blog: This already has a feeling of romance versus pragmatism.
12 minutes in: Has Mikel Arteta taken Arsenal as far as he can?
🤔
Final score: one nil to the Arsenal
Reupping this as the inquiry starts again. I'm not around this week but could take on future shifts. I've spent a lot of time attending, thinking about and reporting on this inquiry already

6. There's probably a lot more I could add, but just to say I had a really, really good time. Feel very lucky (thanks to our friends who let us sleep on their floor and to all the wonderful volunteers. There are so many people welcoming you and helping out.)
