Her glasses glint red as she texts in sick.The wind lifts her hair at the foot of the hill, and she starts her ascent. She passes mushrooms as big as bongo drums. The sheep glow orange as the light fades. At the summit she eats a #jumbo cookie as school pick up sails by. #vss365

She can’t remember the last time she drove her car. In her #peripheral vision he grips the wheel.She smells milk on his breath from the flat white he’s been criticising- Coffee coloured teeth clattering away about milk temperature. She wants to be underwater, sunk. Free. #vss365

Are we #lovers ? I ask.Her bum cheek squeaks against the seat as she moves, sounding like a fart. We’re clothed on top, just bottoms out for business. Hairy winter limbs and condensation on the glass. It doesn’t feel that ‘loving’ what we do.She shivers, Necessary though. #vss365

Even cereal seems #convoluted these days. Apple floating obnoxiously in a pool of milk and oats. It’s a doll house turned upside down & shaken.She can’t remember putting on these imposter clothes, adidas socks? She grips TV remote, cat blanket and slides along the wall. #vss365

Veins pulse oxygen to brain that sparks nerves, images. He works, cleans, watches series, exercises, outpacing #trauma. He’s complicit, pedalling fast, volume up. Cool mud splatters skin. Don’t see the cancerous fish, don’t see the howl from hospice bed, don’t think. #vss365
