“Cycling allows me to reach an almost meditative state. With every pedal stroke, I'm given a chance to empty my mind, focus on my breathing and connect with the nature that surrounds me.” Processing grief on the bike for @brooksengland issuu.com/brooksengland/docs…
After 24 hours of arriving at King’s Cross for my @Eurostar to Amsterdam I am finally home. Was left in Brussels last night after they let us board the train only to find out once on that the staff were only booked to Brussels. Aka the train was never going to AMS
No help find hotel in Brussels at 1am and we were told we could take any train the next day. The next day at the station we were told all morning trains were sold out and could only take 3 hour regional trains. I ended up just boarding a half empty thalys at 13:30 that they said
I couldn’t.
No communication, no help, just abandoned in another country is no way to run a service. I understand delays happen but this was shocking. 24 hours for a 4 hour journey and I missed a job interview.
Thanks @Eurostar
Speaking of… I recently found out I’m up for redundancy. If anyone needs a strategist with 15 years experience in Amsterdam get in touch.
Replying to @markpollard
3. Financial pressure makes agencies takeout their experienced people. Each downturn tends to lead to people in the middle getting cut and big gaps between junior and senior talent.
. @paulpowlesland continuing to be an absolute legend as always
'As a man of law, you think this behaviour is acceptable?!'
'Do I think minor disruption to a sporting event is bad? I don't think it is.'

Not only have @KLM @KLM_UK @AirFranceKLM lost Liam’s bike and potentially ruined our trip of a lifetime they’ve lost a piece of bikepacking history. Please help us put pressure on them to find and return the Stooge so we can begin our adventure

So, I find myself 30ft in the air up a tree in Wellingborough- surrounded by police, security & tree surgeons- trying to prevent an illegal tree felling. How did I end up here? Here’s an outrageous story of nature destruction & collusion between authorities & private developer 🧵
Yet again @CountOnCrunch have completely fucked up. Been trying to close my company since Sept with them. Anyone knows a UK lawyer who can help me figure out what to do now that my company was forcibly dissolved
Sad to hear that British design-led businesses like
@Cycloc are suffering due to Brexit red tape. They are wonderful. Have used their products in a few rental flats and plan on using them in the house we bought in Amsterdam (even if it requires a trip)

Digging out the front door… more snow on the way. #Muskoka #BombCyclone
Bought a pair of @ray_ban in-store. Offered to have them delivered to my house instead of having to pick them up. Never show up... Now, @ray_ban say not their problem. Won't refund or resend #raybanstories
Amazing to finally experience a World Cup cx race in person! #CXWorldCup
Been on Twitter since 2008. Meet great people here. Even helped run a networking event called the Shoreditch twit for twitter people in shoreditch. Will be sad to lose the connections here if it goes under.
So you can find me on c.im/@laura or @laura_scott on Insta
Time to leave the Twitter ship ⛴️ still figuring this out but you can find me here. c.im/@laura
Colleague relocated from India to Belgium. Staying in @Airbnb, and the roof collapsed on him and his cat. Both are okay but now trying to find alt accommodation for a month. Airbnb keep sending options that are miles away from anything. Any affordable cat friendly ops in Antwerp?
Credit where credits is due @Airbnb are also being very supportive and doing there best to help. But I just want my colleague safe
Are there any rules about contacting an employee while on paternity leave in Belgium? Trying to stop my colleagues from messaging one of my team members
