Here's the problem. If it is 1985 this is not a tropical cyclone. However there have been plenty of times since 1988, esp since 2005, where systems far more attached to boundaries WERE named. Be it right here. Or say the NE Gulf MCS named "Emily" ast it tracked SE into Tampa. NO CONSITENCY! If this was in the Gulf, exactly as is, it'd been named yesterday. Internal communication is the root issue at hand.

The entire current Jayson Tatum discourse after Game 1 is just the basketball version of the Drake Maye discourse after Week 1

Its 10 minutes to midnight, start of the 4th qtr and 7'4" Wemby just made his first shot and Brunson went 6-20 at home but the Celtics should trade Tatum because he was off in game 1 HA! Gotta hear this nonsense for the next 8 months.

Pretty rather substantial failure by the ai modeling with the offshore low this week. Physics based modeling was never interested in impacts from it. Ai insisted and failed.

Tatum was garbage today but the overreactions about the rest of his season are crazy he’ll be much better

Pretty substantial weakening of the polar vortex as we go into November 👀

There appears to be some support for a early season stretched polar vortex event. If so, a rather large pool of cold air could come down from Canada into the us. Very interesting

One thing to watch for how the early winter pattern shapes up is what November does. The last 3 strong el ninos, the November 500mb height maps basically repeated itself in December every single year.

Ai models going down with the ship as far as any storm related impacts from the ocean low for the east coast, Physics based models want nothing to do with it.

EPS at hour 306 for next weekend versus what it has now at hour 144. "Slam dunk" warmth turns into sneaky cold. I thought that couldn't happen in a strong El Niño?
