They are very rarely interested in establishing a genuine connection where it feels like a sense of belonging with the other person. Mostly coz they don't understand the real issues with relationships or are not interested to solve them and don't realize

Most people have a very rosy/fantasy version of romance/love where being real or vulnerable is a task for them no matter how much assurance you give them. For them love is just a temporary rush based on flirting (mostly fake) or being habitual of someone.

When blatantly disrespected Don't argue; silence protects your dignity better than anger. Don't explain yourself. If they already choose not to respect you, clarity won't change them. Don't react ;a calm mind is harder to defeat than a loud voice Don't take personally : disrespect reveal who they are, not who you are. Don't fight for approval. Respect earned through begging is not respect but manipulation. Walk away not out of weakness, but wisdom protecting is more powerful than winning an argument. It's not defeat it is dignity
