Starstream is the track on @MidnightNtwrk's roadmap almost nobody can explain. Here's my attempt in plain English.
Blockchains keep their records in different ways. Cardano treats coins like separate notes (the UTXO model). Ethereum keeps balances like a bank account. Apps built for one don't move easily to the other.
Starstream is a language and zero-knowledge VM designed so any chain can adopt it. Midnight's roadmap calls this track "programmable privacy across state models".
On the roadmap for Q4 2026, there's one item: "Runtime decision with mock ledger". My reading: deciding how Starstream will run, and testing it on a simulated ledger first.
No Q1 2027 date yet. This is the research track.
It's open source, and anyone can follow it being built on GitHub.
Builders: if one contract could run on any chain with privacy built in, which chain would you deploy to first?

On Sunday, we're launching something big exclusively for Midnight lovers. I told you a long time ago, I will never give up. I will keep learning, applying what I've learned, making mistakes, never repeating the same mistake twice, growing proudly along the way, and just building, building, building with an almost insane level of fanaticism... I believe the $NIGHT community will be proud. ❤️

FREEDOM FIGHTERS
Three mates with a shared belief: privacy is a right, and you should decide what you share with the world.

Try your own Freedom prompt and post here:
Transform all three men into cinematic freedom fighters. Preserve their recognisable faces, hairstyles, glasses, beard, natural expressions and original positions. Keep the peace sign and group-selfie perspective.
Dress them in weathered charcoal and olive field jackets, tactical vests, utility straps and scarves. Include subtle Midnight chest patches. Replace the background with an atmospheric rooftop overlooking a city at sunset, with golden light, distant haze and cool shadows.
Create a photorealistic film still with detailed skin, worn fabrics and natural proportions. Convey camaraderie, resilience and hope.
Strict constraints: exactly three people. No altered facial identities, covered faces, extra fingers, distorted hands, weapons, blood, political insignia, added captions or watermarks.

Explore the four-part series following Leopoldo’s firsthand account of Venezuela’s descent into autocracy, his years of imprisonment, and the fight to protect freedom.

I’ve been quietly working in the background, helping build and promote a movement I believe can help us take back our privacy.
Some of you know I’ve been involved with Midnight. Others probably have no idea what I’ve been spending my spare time on 😂
I’ve been learning, building and bringing people together around something that matters to me: having more control over our personal information.
We should get to choose what we share, who we share it with, and what stays private. Our conversations, our identities and our financial lives deserve that respect.
As a dad, I think about the digital world our kids are growing up in. I want them to have more control over their lives and their information. That’s a big part of why I’m putting my time into this.
Midnight has a new YouTube series, and I wanted to share it with you.
You don’t need to understand blockchain to care about your privacy.
Have a watch and let me know what you think 👇
