A landlord has 14 days (including weekends) to fix habitability issues or make their best effort to do so. As our own Nicholas Haley mentioned in a @KTNV story, this includes bed bug infestations, though there are important caveats to keep in mind.

There's been an alarming number of foreclosures in @ClarkCountyNV recently. Homeowners facing this hardship may participate in the Foreclosure Mediation Program, which gives them an opportunity to work with their mortgage company to try to avoid seizure of the property.

Nevada passed a new law called AB 121, which changes how residential leases are written after October 1, 2025. It requires a landlord to state the monthly rent as one total price. This price must include all mandatory fees.

If a landlord tries to charge extra fees or breaks the utility rules, those fees are illegal. You can sue the landlord to recover your costs and attorney fees, plus $250 for each violation. Our Civil Law Self-Help Center staff can help if your landlord is violating AB 121.
