39 years ago today on 3 Apr 1982 a force of 22 Royal Marines Commandos held invading Argentines at bay on South Georgia in the run-up to the Falklands War. At the same time along with 700 Marines from 42 Commando we were recalled back to our units within 24 hours; and so it began
