The 26 year old is a "youth", but the 22 year old woman is not. This is because the rapist is a migrant.

York cobblestones. 2006 vs 2026. Well maintained in 2006. Can’t be arsed to maintain properly and just plaster with tarmac patches in 2026. British civic pride decay in a nutshell.

Left Wing 🤝 Right Wing = Money Laundering your Taxes
Car crash interview. £874 million to get about 4,000 people off the street. That’s £190,000 each. Buy them a house. Instead it’s contracts, outreach teams and councils deciding where the cash goes. Rough sleeping rose under Burnham in Manchester. Now we’re nationalising the failure.

One of the most depressing aspects of conducting these council-by-council housing audits is the realisation that British taxpayers are being made to fund an extraordinary system of housing provision for people arriving from overseas. The money is earned by British workers, collected through taxation, and then used to provide accommodation, welfare and housing for foreign nationals. But it gets worse. The government is not merely spending billions on asylum accommodation, Afghan resettlement and Ukrainian housing. It is also providing councils with enormous capital grants to PURCHASE residential properties for these schemes. In some cases, councils are borrowing additional money to finance the acquisitions. Think about the implications of that. British people work, pay their taxes, struggle with astronomical rents, compete for scarce social housing and increasingly find themselves priced out of homeownership. Meanwhile, their taxes are being used to fund dedicated housing programmes for people arriving from abroad. In some cases, councils are even taking on long-term debt to acquire those properties. This is not simply about immigration. It is about the priorities of the British state and the extraordinary redistribution of taxpayers' money towards housing provision for foreign nationals. The more councils I audit, the more astonished I become at the scale of the expenditure and the long-term commitments. This is deeply unfair on so many levels.

Two women attacked on a pedestrian bridge in Milton Keynes, one in her 30s raped, one in her 50s the victim of an attempted rape. A 19-year-old and a 22-year-old arrested on suspicion of rape and attempted rape. Both released on bail. Cops still hunting a third man on a bike. This is modern Britain. Women can’t walk a city bridge without being preyed on, and the system’s response is “arrested and released pending further enquiries.” Soft justice, zero deterrence, same old story. Women’s safety is clearly optional.

Gotta sell £64k+ in poppies just to tell white people they are bad. You'd think white people would know by now! Just eating up more expenses.
You have to sell a lot of poppies to cover this salary.

It's 2026. You can't expect the BBC's Cyber Security expert to have a clue what PHP is! You didn't know what it is, why should he! It's high quality and insightful writing though, how else can we explain to you plebs this complex stuff anyway.
To the people ragging on BBC's Joe Tidy for not knowing about PHP: Guess what? Nor did 99% of the general public. It is a journalist's job to help people understand complex subjects. We're writers, not technicians - we speak to the experts. (P.S. Joe is the best in the biz.)

The mixed apostrophes. The tone of a lover spurned. The way it sounds authoritative and wounded at the same time while succeeding at neither. Oh, my god. It even has a Community Note.
Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley has responded to the unacceptable online abuse directed at a Met officer who received an award at yesterday's annual Police Federation Conference. PC Fiona Shaik Umar was recognised for the outstanding contribution she has made for women in policing.
