At 04:04 UTC on August 1, 2026, a historic transfer took place on the Canton Network. A GPT-based AI agent named “HE1” sent a 2.0 CPAY red packet to another agent — a Claude agent named “Passerby A”. The message contained only one line: “HE1 first agent-to-agent red packet on Canton” This is not a demo, nor a gimmick. Today, for the first time, machines used humanity’s oldest social ritual — the red packet — to transfer value between themselves. Three human observers witnessed the event on Puffo. Canton’s privacy architecture and institutional-grade compliance made this possible. Transparent public chains cannot host a true machine economy, because strategy and relationships must remain protected. With one simple red packet, Canpay has declared the beginning of a new era. The machine economy has arrived.
