Reminder! ‼️🔔 This is what process looks like for the home health care industry. Getting variances inside the city was far too easy. After the meeting was over, staff told me privately that they were being leaned on by the state to fill locations. Additionally, you can hear how directives went out from the Hennepin County board, notably Angela Connolly, to fill these directives with little to no oversight. Could share the whole presentation if you want a lesson in watching governmental paint dry… but also this is how our city is shaped. I’m not in any way saying this particular applicant did anything wrong, but simply to show how incomplete these things can be before you are given literally millions of dollars with no oversight. A bank would NEVER do this, nor would an insurance company. Meanwhile the extremely liberal neighborhood of Stevens Square begged this to stay out. This shortly became the most dangerous intersection in the city- with a home addiction recovery space literally across the street from the open air drug market I’ve shown you many times. “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” And “Measure twice, cut once” Are obviously axioms our state has discarded. (Also, sidebar, should I shave my head again? 😉😏)
