🚨 CRAZY STAT: No manager has scored 70+ goals in the Champions League over the last three seasons. Luis Enrique’s PSG have scored 116 goals in that period, and counting! 🤯🔥

PSG were without Kvaratskhelia, Dembélé, Nuno Mendes, Marquinhos and Zaïre-Emery. They started Mayulu in attack and still managed to demolish Villarreal 6-0 away from home, with 17-year-old David Boly making his debut and even getting on the scoresheet.
Perhaps this will finally make people understand that PSG are a properly drilled team, capable of adapting regardless of who's available. Whether their star players are on the pitch or someone else comes in to deputise, their level barely drops.
This is a team that deserves more praise for its quality and depth, not people constantly trying to diminish its achievements with the "they are resting players" nonsense.

The genius that is Luis Enrique. Best Manager, Best Coach, and Best Tactician in world football. The gap between him and Hansi Flick is a tactical canyon. One is a master of footballing details, capable of controlling every phase of a game; the other is being celebrated for playing good football and beating lesser oppositions.
@ZonalBrains, brilliant work.

There is something fascinating about Luis Enrique’s PSG in 2026/27.
Enrique coaching, players being positioned, visual tools and tactical information becoming part of the public image of the training process at first glance, revealing that information seems counterintuitive.
Why would the coach of the two-time reigning European champions allow outsiders to see pieces of the tactical laboratory?
Because perhaps Enrique’s philosophy has reached a point where the diagram itself is no longer the secret as now the secret is what the players do with it.
This is the deeper evolution of his PSG.
A traditional tactical philosophy attempts to conceal mechanisms ie hide the patterns, disguise the rotations, surprise the opponent.
LE increasingly seems to work from the opposite idea which is show them the structure, and then beat them with what you do inside it. The shape itself isn’t the trick but the decisions, movements and little changes that happen within it that give opponents the real problem.
— You can photograph the positions.
— You can analyse the passing lanes.
— You can identify the rotations.
— You can understand the pressing triggers.
But football is not played on the board.
The opponent still has to process 11 players constantly changing their relationships with space, time and one another. PSG become fascinating as their system is not simply a sequence of movements.
It is a decision-making environment.
Press them → they can exploit the space created by your pressure.
Protect the centre → they can redistribute the game toward the outside.
Protect the wings → they can create interior superiority.
Man-mark → they can use movement to manipulate the markers.
Drop deep → they can patiently distort the block until another solution appears.
The tactical board therefore tells you what PSG can do & it doesn’t tell you which solution they will choose.
This distinction may define Enrique’s 2026/27 project.
After becoming back-to-back CL winners, PSG are no longer simply trying to develop a successful tactical model. They are attempting something much more difficult.
to build a footballing ecosystem capable of surviving the death of its own secrets.
— Everyone knows PSG.
— Everyone studies PSG.
— Everyone knows Enrique.
And yet the challenge remains the same:
Can you stop a team when you understand its principles but cannot predict its decisions?
That is the Enrique paradox.
The board can be exposed.
The philosophy cannot.
