The Drop having a female lead really puts the reality of being a man vs a woman front and center.
Reading how the viewers speak about Wanda, opposed to how they talk about Franklin has been .. interesting to say the least

He has a savior complex that he needs to heal from #TheDropFX

James rightly points out that Wanda is using both Artillery and Lamar to secure a future for herself. By contrast, everything he does is aimed at protecting Lamar. #TheDropFX #TheDrop

They lost what to do with Leon’s character back in Snowfall. He dropped the gun and drugs to move to Africa only to return to the same things. Dropped the gun and drugs again in The Drop only to return to the same things.

“Am I really the villain here?”
Yes Wanda
You got Artillery and Lamar (not calling him Nex) into the contracts. Convinced DG to go to the meet that got him jumped. Involved Leon to manage the truce then Initiated the backdoor when you got fired.

The Drop was a fun jump back into the world of Snowfall. It continued where that show left off, but never leaned on it as a crutch.
It managed to stand on its own and tell its own story, while honoring what came before. Well done. Hope we get a second season. #TheDrop
Both Dara and Wanda just be using my boy. He just destroyed everything he was tryna become and they didn’t give a fuck.

Wanda wanted the old Leon back so much she did hella self destruction shit to pull him back. She says that she wants people to accept the new her but she was never willing to accept the new him. #TheDropFX
Leon walking away from all the good work he’s done at the Pro Bono clinic to return to the gangster life just to protect his own is heartbreaking. 💔 He was building something meaningful, helping people, and showing that he could be more thanhis past. But when family and loyalty are on the line, he feels pulled back into the life he was trying to leave behind #TheDropFX #SnowfallFX

Jason Lee rarely gets one from me, but on this one? 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾. He was up against 5 and he held his own. I felt like I was watching myself lol. The way he wrapped ol’ girl up and put a bow 🎀 on her, “the Botox and lighting is doing great for you. Sit in your box and wait your turn.” 💀💀💀
"Y'all frame Meghan as a maniacal black woman that came in to take down the royals - when you killed your own princess!"
Piers Morgan calls out Jason Lee on his "egregious lie" that Princess Diana was murdered by Brits.
