Imagine seeing a product on X and simply telling an AI agent:
“Buy this for me.”
That’s the direction $BOSON is building toward.
People + AI agents can discover products on @X and transact through @BosonProtocol , without relying on a seller to be trusted upfront. 🧵👇

Imagine telling an AI agent:
“Find me the best option and buy it.”
You shouldn't have to wonder:
Who received my money?
What happens if the seller doesn't deliver?
Who protects the transaction?
$BOSON is building the infrastructure for that future.
With decentralized escrow, agent-led purchases can move beyond simple recommendations into actual transactions where payment and fulfillment are governed by code.
Less blind trust.
More verifiable commerce.

Agentic commerce stopped being a forecast this week.
Coinbase Business checkouts now accept agent payments over x402. Stripe is issuing agents virtual cards against 300 million consumer accounts. Injective joined the Linux x402 Foundation, whose members include Stripe and Coinbase. CoinMarketCap put its market data behind x402 at a cent a request.

We formed a thesis and backed it: agentic commerce becomes real, and agents will need a neutral rail they can settle on.
Research done. Software built. First adoption landed.
We're building as though the thesis is right, because we think it is.

Agentic commerce is forming on x402. That was the finding of the Computable Economy work I co-authored with Professor Jason Potts, extended into the Intelligent Economy.
Boson was designed for the escrow problem seven years before x402 existed.

The plan hasn't changed, and you can check it.
Boson Protocol set it out in Masterplan VI in February, as three steps: Research. Build. Adopt.
In May I reported against it. This week I reported again. Same three headings, every time.

On stage at @stripe Sessions, the head of agentic payments growth at @amazon put the open question plainly: who authorises a transaction when the customer is not in the checkout screen? The industry "does not really have a clean answer".
Agents can already choose. The open question is the money — who authorised it, and what recourse exists between paying and receiving.
There is an answer that stands on its own: hold the funds until the merchant fulfils. The buyer receives the item, or receives their money back.

All of it needs stores that can talk to software. That is the actual bottleneck — agent capability and consumer appetite are both further along than the plumbing.
The largest ecommerce platform on the planet by store count, more than four million live stores, can now sell to agents. One install, settled through Boson escrow.

Letting an agent spend money comes down to one question: what happens between paying and receiving.
Every purchase through the Facet Adapter settles into Boson escrow. Funds are held, non-custodially, until the merchant fulfils. The buyer receives the item, or receives their money back — enforced by code. Gasless on both sides, every step signed and verifiable on-chain.

Connecting a WooCommerce store to the Facet Adapter takes about five minutes, and it takes a shopkeeper rather than a developer.
Your backend, your theme and your storefront all stay exactly as they are. The adapter adds a second door alongside the one you have, and only software uses that one — your human customers see the shop they always saw.
Four million WooCommerce stores can do this today.
