I went to goodreads to check the synopsis and reviews and it did not disappoint

The fact that the atrocities in Rwanda were only 30 years ago, and yet no one I know knows anything about it, is a crime. Even if you don't read this book, please read up about it. It is horrifying that this sits in silence in western-taught history. #booktwt #BookTwitter

And Natives by Akala is a must read. I love that is isn't objective, I want to hear condemnation, and critique, and judgement.

Week 10 - a very busy one as several netgalley requests came in at once. If I could urge you to read one of these authors, it's Samanta Schweblin, a hugely underrated horror writer imo. If you like Kirtsy Logan, Camilla Grudova, and Mariana Enriquez, you need to check her out.

What a book. I truly believe this is a must read, especially for the white British. It really asks you to reflect on your understanding, and the flaws within legislation, education, media and public perception of race in the UK.

Note to self: don't rely on goodreads lists for finding books on history. That is so problematic

The worst vs the best of my reading week. I Who Have Never Known Men is a beauty of a read. It is incredibly sad, but there is a tenderness in the writing that I've rarely felt.

Week 9! Busier one this week, although most of it was me cracking through some of the shorter texts on my TBR shelf. #booktwt
