Think something may be wrong? Start with a conversation. Try asking: How are things going at school? Who do you usually spend time with? Has anyone made you feel uncomfortable or unsafe? Is there anything happening that you want me to know about? #BullyingPreventionMonth

Crikey! Meet Irwin’s snapping turtle. The late Steve Irwin, and his father Bob, spotted this rare reptile in the early 1990s & contacted herpetologist John Cann. He was the first to describe this species—and he named it after the Irwins! It can be found in Queensland, Australia.

Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside when possible. Do not block exits when charging. These batteries store more energy, and fires can grow quickly if they fail. For more info: fpw.org. #firepreventionweek #sparky #firesafety

Divide and concur — this radical plan from 1920, for "lasting peace" after WW1, proposed uniting central Europe into 24 wedge-shaped cantons which would radiate out from Vienna’s St. Stephen’s Cathedral: publicdomainreview.org/colle…

Anne Carson – awarded the 2026 #NobelPrize in Literature – once described boredom as her arch-enemy. It is a state she confronts with drastic humour and wit. ‘The Beauty of the Husband: A Fictional Essay in 29 Tangos’, published in 2001, tells of a cutting and sardonic row with a deceitful husband, its twenty-nine episodes each opening with lines of verse by the romantic poet John Keats. Keats’s sublime words about beauty being truth are, in brutal yet playful fashion, juxtaposed with this exhausting relationship drama.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire.
