This is the norm. I worked in housing services for a nonprofit in Oregon for 10y. The job was seeking housing for families, many not white. When I met a landlord or agent alone so often they'd be really open & enthusiastic about whoever I was representing until they saw the name.

They'd just moved from Delaware for her new job. Now they're SUING Douglas Elliman, the agent AND the owners. "It doesn't change the pain. It doesn't take away the pain you caused us that day." Think about it. They were judged before they even had a chance. They only found out because she texted the wrong person. Most people never do.

Realizing that it is segregated and just how segregated are two different things. If they did realize how segregated it is, nobody would think it鈥檚 weird for visitors to expect to see black people in the city center, not only in TSA and way out in the suburbs
